The Ant and the Grasshopper

The Beetle got the promotion. Both ant and the grasshopper were very annoyed. They couldn't bear the cheating which was done with them. They blasted on their immediate boss cockroach. Cockroach tried his best to admonish them but both of them became a rebel. Cockroach told this to his boss, the lizard. The lizard sent the strict message down the line telling them it was a management decision but both ant and the grasshopper were denied to obey this. The lizard understood that he could not be able to handle this. He sent the message to the chameleon, his boss. Chameleon took this matter very seriously. He ordered the lizard to call the meeting. The lizard sent this message to the cockroach. In the meeting, the chameleon asked a question, "Who has the problem with the promotion of the beetle?" The grasshopper raised his hand to say something. The Chameleon interrupted him and said, "Those who have any problem can resign and can join the company where they get the promotion." the grasshopper couldn't say next word. The Ant also thought about the EMI of Rs. 30000.00 which he had to pay every month. He couldn't afford to lose the job. And this way the boss chameleon succeeded to solve all problems in the team. MORAL OF THE STORY: The boss is always right and he cannot do any mistake. If he does any mistake, his subordinate is responsible for the mistake. Remember everyone has to pay EMI's and it is not possible without a salary.

The Boss's joke

The meeting was continuing. Boss lion was preaching corporate etiquette to his subordinate, the leopard, second line manager the cheetah, and front line manager the fox, the hyena, the wolf and the jackal. to keep his lecture interesting Boss lion added some joke. It created some giggling in the room. Fox was taught to keep calm and not to laugh in the meeting. So she was not laughing. Lion noted this. He assumed that the fox was not attentive in the meeting. He came to the fox and asked, "Don't you understand the joke?" The fox couldn't understand the intention of the lion. She became confused so she just saw the face of the lion. "Do you understand the joke?" lion asked again. "Ya! yes sir." confused fox answer. "My next question is are you in the meeting? You are not laughing on jokes! Be attentive and interactive in the meeting." The lion almost roared. After this, fox laughed on each joke. After that objection, the fox laughed on each joke of the lion. She didn't want to be noticed by the boss again. After the meeting. annoyed leopard called the boss of the fox, the cheetah. He warned him that he would not tolerate any indiscipline as shown by the fox in the meeting. He told him to teach etiquette to the fox and how to behave in the meeting. MORAL OF THE STORY: It doesn't matter whether you laugh on the joke of the boss or not if the boss wants to tight your screw he will find a reason.

Discussion of Boss

The team was doing target month on month basis and inventory was under control but the lion was anxious. He thought he had disbursed the less target to its employees. He was worried to fix the right target. So he called a meeting. A mail was dropped to the subordinates the leopard and the cheetah. They were instructed to prepare the complete data of investment and sales on excel. They were advised to keep their inputs in notes to improve work efficiency and sales so that they can be discussed in the meeting. Both leopard and cheetah sat together and prepare the complete presentation and draft a 20 point note to discuss in the meeting. The meeting was started with a warm welcome and motivating lecture. It was continued until lunch. In the post-lunch session, the lion started detailing the expectation of the company. Both leopard and cheetah were alert to discuss the matter but lion continues until tea. After tea, the lion gave a hint that the target would become double. Cheetah resisted it and leopard supported him. It provoked the lion. He roared loudly and it scared both of them. They tried to argue and lion tried to suppress them. In the end, deal fixed and it was 1.5 times. Both leopard and cheetah took a sigh of relief that anyhow they managed to get the best possible target but they had to face the real problem and it was to convey this message down the line. So they discussed and decided to call a meeting. They wrote a mail to down the line. The team were instructed to prepare the complete data of investment and sales on excel. MORAL OF THE STORY: The literary meaning of the discussion with the boss is to listen to the speech of the boss carefully, to understand the meaning of his language and to accept the target given by him.

An Unsatisfied Boss

Lion found that fox finished her work before everyone and reached home timely. He concluded fox was not performing well. Soon he found many lacunas in the work of a fox. He called a review meeting to analyse the efficiency of the fox. A mail was dropped immediately to the fox. She was called to the head office to present all of her efforts through a power point presentation. Fox did presentation confidently. Lion tried hard to find loopholes in her work, did deep scrutiny of her work but find nothing. He had to consider that the fox was performing well but he was not satisfied. Boss was unhappy. He still thought that Fox was more efficient but she had given less work. She had paid more for less work. So once again the lion called a review meeting. This time wolf, hyena and jackal were also called. These were the teammates of the fox. It was analyzed. jackal didn't give the 100% output but he worked for the entire day so he was appreciated and motivated for doing better. Wolf had many apologies for not doing up to the mark performance. Boss was not happy, so some new assignment was given to him. The hyena was overpowering and satirical by nature. he had some political connections. Even the lion was scared of him. So he was reviewed with few questions, which hyena ignored laughingly and his review was over. Then, it was the turn of review of fox again. Lion didn't see any file any presentation, just add new non-performing territories to her. Now the boss was happy. he made fox busy. But the fox was known for her smartness. She adjusted these territories nicely in her schedule. She finished her work timely as she did previously. The lion was unhappy but he knew to review fox again was not very beneficial. First, he gave advice then he ordered to fox to meet 10 clients daily. Lion took regular follow for this. He was disappointed because of fox performance. She was still performing. He added some more responsibilities to the fox. Finally, Fox began to become overburdened. She started to forget, sometimes she became late. Once again review meeting was called. This time boss found many loopholes in fox work. He warned fox to improve her performance and to leave casual attitude. Fox was overburdened and she continued to do mistakes. One day boss shook the hand with fox and shown the fox the way to outside the jungle. Still, the jackal was struggling to perform, still, the wolf had many apologies for performance and who dared to object hyena. Boss was satisfied except a problem, the team was not performing. For this, he needed a fox. MORAL OF THE STORY: You can be a good performer but it is more important to show yourself busy all the time.

The Ant and Grasshopper

The Ant did the hard work as it did as always and the grasshopper sang as he did as usual. The ant put its day and night to do the task which was given by the boss to her. The grasshopper always found a way to escape from the situation. The boss was not happy with the grasshopper. He always appreciated the ant. The ant always eager to complete the task but the grasshopper worked to prove his salary, The ant was sure that this time she would get the promotion. It was a promotion time. The boss increased the heat when he considered the grasshopper for the promotion. It disappointed the ant. She heard the old story in which the ant won in the end. The grasshopper preached the ant, "Only hard work is not the key to success. It is a boss perception which makes you successful." The ant refused to leave the habit of hard-working. The grasshopper refused to leave his habit of droning. The boss pleased the ant but sometimes pleased the grasshopper also. The grasshopper took the lead over the ant gradually. Then promotion happened it was not the grasshopper. All of you are thinking that finally, the ant won? You are wrong! The ant was also not the winner. The beetle won the race. He got the promotion. He was the employee of the company in which, the boss had worked before. He was close to the boss till the time. MORAL OF THE STORY: It doesn't matter whether you are an ant or a grasshopper. Whether you are a hard worker or a drone only those candidate get the promotion who are closer to the boss.

बॉस की सांत्वना

चीटी और टिड्डा दोनो ही नाराज़ थे। प्रोमोशन के नाम पर मिला धोखा बर्दाश्त नही कर पा रहे थे। उनका गुस्सा अपने इमीडियेट बॉस  कॉकरोच पर फट पड़ा।
कॉकरोच ने पूरी कोशिश की चीटी और टिड्डे को समझाने की पर दोनों ने ही बगावती तेवर अपना लिये थे। कॉकरोच ने अपने बॉस छिपकली को यह संदेश दिया। छिपकली ने सख्त रुख अपनाया और कहा कि यह मैनेजमेंट का फैसला है। मगर चीटी और टिड्डा ने यह फैसला मानने से इनकार कर दिया।
छिपकली को भी समझ आ गया कि मामला बिगड़ गया है। उसने अपने बॉस गिरगिट को यह जानकारी दी। गिरगिट ने मामले की गंभीरता को समझा और छिपकली को मीटिंग बुलाने के लिए कहा गया। छिपकली ने यह संदेश कॉकरोच को दिया।
मीटिंग मे गिरगिट ने पहला सवाल पूछा, "किसे दिक्कत है?"
टिड्डा कुछ बोलने के लिए खड़ा हुआ पर उसके बोलने से पहले ही सुपर बॉस गिरगिट बोला, ' अगर दिक्कत है तो इस्तीफा दो और जहा प्रोमोशन मिले वहाँ नौकरी कर लो।"
टिड्डे की बोलती बंद हो गयी। चीटी ने भी सोचा की रु. 30000 महीने की तो ईएमआई ही जाती है अगर नौकरी गयी तो खाने के लाले पड़ जाएंगे।
और इस तरह, हर तरह के विरोध ने उस मीटिंग मे दम तोड़ दिया।
MORAL OF THE STORY: बॉस का हर कदम सही ही होता है और अगर नही भी होता हो तो मान लेना चाहिए कि सही है। क्योंकि अगर एक महीने तनख्वाह नही आई तो ईएमआई कैसे जाएगी।

चीटी और टिड्डा

चींटी हमेशा की तरह मेहनत करती थी। और टिड्डा हमेशा मस्ती करता था। उन दिनों टिड्डे को तिलचट्टे का साथ भी मिल गया था।
चींटी हमेशा बॉस के दिये टास्क को जी जान से पूरा करने में जुट जाती जबकि टिड्डा हमेशा दिये हुए टास्क को दाये बाये कर देता।चीटी टिड्डे को समझाती तो टिड्डा चीटी की मजाक बना देता। ऐसे समय में तिलचट्टा भी टिड्डे की हां में हॉ मिलाता।
बॉस टिड्डे से नाखुश था और चीटी की तारीफ करता। चीटी को हमेशा लगता कि अब की बार तो पक्का प्रमोशन मिलेगा।
अब की बार मीटिंग जब हुई तो बॉस ने टिड्डे को भी प्रमोशन का दावेदार बता दिया। चीटी बहुत दुखी थी उसने तो पुरानी कहानी सुनी थी जिसमे चीटी और टिड्डे में से मेहनती चीटी जीत गयी थी।
टिड्डे ने फिर चीटी को समझाया कि काम करने से ज्यादा जरूरी काम करते दिखना है। इतनी मेहनत से कुछ हासिल नही होगा।
पर चीटी अपनी मेहनत से पीछे नही हटी  औऱ टिड्डा अपनी हरकतों से बाज़ नही आया और  बॉस कभी चीटी को फेवर करता तो कभी टिड्डे को।
मामला कुल मिला कर टिड्डे के फेवर में बनता जा रहा था। चीटी दुखी थी इतनी मेहनत के बाद भी उसकी काबिलियत पर प्रश्नचिन्ह था जबकि टिड्डा कम काम करके भी  उससे आगे था।
फिर प्रमोशन हुआ मगर टिड्डे का नही हुआ। तो फिर किसका हुआ?
आपको लग रहा होगा कि चीटी का हुआ? जी नही प्रमोशन गुबरेले का हुआ जो बॉस की पहली कंपनी में उसके साथ काम करता था।
Moral of the story:  आप चाहे चीटी हो या टिड्डा। आप चाहै दिन रात काम करे या निखट्टू बन के मलाई खाये। प्रमोशन हमेशा उसका होता है जो बॉस का प्रिय हो।
